Finding My WHY.

Updated: Dec 11, 2019

One of my favorite visionaries says

"Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress; working hard for something we love is called passion." Simon Sinek

So why Real Estate? Well, My family has been in this industry my whole life. I remember when I was a little boy our weekends were spent caravanning around the area looking at homes.

One night I was tossing and turning trying to figure out my why...it dawned on me. "Family & Home"

Life is a series of memories. Those experiences are what shape us. Each one is a file stored in our subconscious waiting for us to dust it off and play the rerun.

When we have a memory it is most often in a specific place. We remember “the scene” the colors & smells. We remember the people and what they were doing; sometimes we even remember as much as what they were wearing or what they said. The ONE thing we always remember is the way we felt.

Every memory, every joy, every heartbreak we always had one place to come back and reflect. Home...

I once heard “that every house needs a heart”; that a house is living. The walls are like bones, the pipes are the veins, the wires are its nervous system.

A house needs air to breathe and the windows are the eyes allowing the light to shine in darkness.

A house all flows together to keep us safe.

But then I had the question, What makes a house a home?

I believe that is the people in it who use it, enjoy it and take care of it to create memories that give the house the very thing it was missing the whole time; a soul.

So when I ask my self now why I became a Realtor? I just have to look back at all the memories that brought me right where I needed to be.
